Highlands Hammock State Park is one of Florida's oldest parks. Opening to the public in 1931, Highlands Hammock State Park has a scenic 3-mile bicycling loop and nine hiking trails. For equestrians, there is an 11-mile trail. Birding may also be done, since the park is part of the Great Florida Birding Trail. Ranger-guided tours are scheduled frequently. A full-service restaurant is also located on the park grounds.
Highlands Little Theatre has been a staple in the Sebring, FL community for over 30 years. The theater is has year-round productions and offers Friday and Saturday dinners with the show. The Highlands Little Theater Showstoppers are youth members of Highlands Little Theatre interested in all aspects of producing theatre for youth by youth.
